After each folding, slide the old twinings up as close to the cross as possible.
When all folds are complete, the tie at the cross end can be untied so all bouts can be spread across the frame.
Frame with a pattern tied almost to end. When the warp has been died and opened, this will be a 1 inch wide band with this design repeated for its length.
